Four days after its founder died in a plane crash in Slovenia with a suitcase containing millions of euros in cash on board, the German internet company Unister has filed for insolvency.
Thomas Wagners death had been a turning point for the company, said Lucas Flöther, a Berlin lawyer who was appointed as Unisters administrator.
Wagner and three companions died on Thursday last week when their private plane crashed in a mountainous part of Slovenia.
They were travelling back from Venice, where they had been meeting potential investors. Among the dead was Oliver Schilling, a Unister shareholder and co-founder.
