British artist Rebecca Moss thought she was going to spend a few weeks crossing the Pacific Ocean as part of a artists residency, but now the freighter she boarded on August 23rd is stuck floating off the coast of Japan and theres no end in sight for her voyage.
The residency, which is sponsored by Access Gallery in Vancouver, is called 23 Days at Sea, but they may have to rethink that name given how Moss journey is unfolding. She would have been due to dock in Shanghai on Wednesday, but on August 31st the ships Korean owner, Hanjin Shipping Company, declared bankruptcy and now theres no telling how long it will be before moss touches land.
