Clive Palmer has denied an administrator request for $16.4 million from Queensland Nickel’s controlling companies sparked a move to secretly replace the refinery operator with his own newly created company.
The request came in February, when Mr Palmer said a sore foot was “taking top priority” in his thinking, not the failing business.
