Corporate insolvency in Scotland fell seven per cent last year though there was an 18 per cent rise in personal insolvencies, official figures show.
The latest fourth quarter figures from the Accountant in Bankruptcy (AiB), covering the fourth quarter to the end of March, show 840 Scottish registered companies went bust in the year, down from 917 in 2015/16.
In the fourth quarter to March, corporate insolvency numbers totalled 155, down from 230 in Q4 2015/16.
Commenting on the latest corporate insolvency figures, Alistair Dickson, restructuring partner at RSM in Scotland, said: The numbers of insolvencies in the oil and gas sector in Aberdeen havent reached the levels that had been feared.
