A St Austell coach holiday boss who blamed Brexit, terrorism and his divorce for the collapse of his business has been declared bankrupt.
David Hamilton, director of Hamilton’s Coach Holidays, lost holidaymakers thousands of pounds at the end of September after cancelling dream trips with only a couple of days’ notice.
Disappointed customers arrived at Hamilton’s Coach Holidays Ltd on September 18, the day before they were supposed to set off on a Danube cruise, after receiving an unsigned letter two days before informing them that the trip had been cancelled.
Having heard about the cruise cancellation, other Hamilton’s customers who had trips booked voiced concern about whether their hard-earned holidays will go ahead.
