No other Australian womenswear label spun lace into delicate bridal gowns and cocktail dresses quite like Lover. Nic Briand and Susien Chong started the label in 2012 and opened a flagship store in The Strand Arcade in Sydney not long after.
The label expanded quickly Lovers intricate lace halter-neck-style dresses were a hit and a second store soon opened in Westfield Bondi Junction, marking the start of a national rollout. But the rhythm of Australian retail is unpredictable and despite early romance, financial advisory firm Ferrier Hodgson has announced the label has entered voluntary administration.
