ATO bid abandoned after Les Bubbles company put into liquidation – The Sydney Morning Herald

The Australian Taxation Office bid to wind up the company behind Damian Griffiths’ Les Bubbles restaurant has been dismissed after the company went into liquidation on Thursday.

The matter was heard briefly in The Federal Court in Brisbane on Friday where Registrar Katie Lynch dismissed a wind-up application filed by the ATO in November last year.

Bubbles Bar & Bistro was ordered to pay $3131 in costs.

Deloitte partner David Orr had been appointed liquidator of the company, the court heard.

Bubbles Bar & Bistro is the company behind Fortitude Valley steakhouse and bar Les Bubbles, which opened its doors in 2015.
