The British division of toy store chain Toys R Us has filed for bankruptcy, endangering more than 3,200 jobs. The chain’s American and Canadian stores were already declared bankrupt last year.

Toys R Us operates 105 stores in the United Kingdom and employs more than 3,200 people. The stores will remain open for the time being, in order to aid the search a buyer who can restart the chain soon. The chain has been looking for a buyer for weeks in order to avoid bankruptcy, but decided to file for bankruptcy today anyway.
