The liquidation of Robin Hood Energy has finally been completed as more than £50 million owed by the failed company has been left unpaid. Nottingham City Council’s failed energy firm received claims from nearly 350 individuals and businesses owed money by the company after it went bust.
The claims approved by liquidators amounted to £67.1 million in total and in the final report on the winding up of Robin Hood Energy, liquidators say £13.7 million has been paid out. It means the gap between what was owed and what has been paid amounts to more than £53 million.
