A soybean farmer who voted for President Donald Trump is begging for his help.
Caleb Ragland, 38, from Magnolia, Kentucky, penned an a piece published in The Free Press last week calling on Trump to help the farmers as he continues to escalate a costly trade war with China. Citing the high tax rate on exports to China, Ragland wrote that he is “facing fear and uncertainty” about who will buy his soybean crop.
“Like many of my fellow farmers, I voted for President Donald Trump in the past three elections. The president won me over with his commitment to business-friendly tax cuts as well as his track record of reducing regulation and cutting government spending,” he wrote.
