An insolvency notice was placed on the front door of J & G Discount Doors business in Irvine earlier this week.
Ayrshire Weekly Press have been contacted by a number of customers in both Irvine and Saltcoats who said they paid in advance for their doors – without any work being carried out.
The company which was been trading for over a decade at 2 Quarry Road in the town was run by Graeme Bird, who took over in June 2023.
There is mystery surrounding the closure as the company’s Facebook page has been removed. It is not clear at this stage why the company ceased trading or how many staff have been made redundant.
