The debts of the company owned and liquidated by the former top aide to Auckland Mayor Wayne Brown have grown to nearly three quarters of a million dollars.
Jazz Singh, Brown’s chief of staff, left the mayoral office after Newsroom revealed in July that he had put his own property company into liquidation, owing Inland Revenue $559,000.
Singh had not told his employer about the liquidation of his Traxx Investments Limited.
An updated December report by liquidator KhovJones, shows a trade creditor is claiming $71,000, and IRD has added $55,533 in interest and penalties, taking the total to $736,366.
