Momentum Collective began in 1979 when a group of volunteers came together to form the Casino Neighbourhood Centre and to increase support services in rural areas.
Yesterday, Friday, December 19 was the last community barbecue hosted by Momentum at the Neighbourhood Centre.
A few months ago, administrators were called in to investigate the company’s financial position because of high costs and cash flow issues which led to the voluntary administration.
