The Eurogiant Retail group with a number of stores in county Tipperary is now in voluntary liquidation. The company has stores in Thurles, Nenagh, Roscrea and Clonmel. Nationally the company has 77 outlets with upwards of 640 staff employed.
Liquidation firm Interpath were appointed by the High court to oversee the liquidation process with EuroGeneral Limited and Bushgrove Limited, which trade as EuroGiant as the controlling companies.
The business has been in existence since 1990 and says as operating costs continue to rise and with increasing competition it is no longer a viable business.
