Outdoor sportswear retailer Eddie Bauer has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and plans to close its six New Jersey locations as part of a nationwide shutdown.
The company filed layoff notices affecting 58 jobs in five New Jersey counties where its stores are located. The effective dates of the layoffs were listed in state Department of Labor records as Feb. 2 and May 15.
Eddie Bauer’s six stores in New Jersey include:
- Bergen: American Dream in East Rutherford and Garden State Plaza in Paramus
- Gloucester: Gloucester Premium Outlets in Blackwood
- Monmouth: Jersey Shore Premium Outlets in Tinton Falls
- Morris: Rockaway Townsquare
- Somerset: Bridgewater Commons
