The team running Coal Kitchen in Gloucester has assured its customers, staff and suppliers that it remains open, amid uncertainty surrounding its future.
The bar and restaurant at Gloucester Quays released a statement last week confirming that it continues to operate ‘fully as normal’, in response to reports it was set to close.
It comes after its management company, SH Gloucester Quays Limited, entered creditors’ voluntary liquidation on Monday 2 February 2026.
But since then, liquidators of Opus Restructuring LLP have confirmed that the lease of the premises at the Quays, along with its employment contracts, are not held by the management company, but by separate legal entities – which means the bar and restaurant’s operation…
