Bowdens Kilt Hire, on Easter Road, has been serving generations of families from the same shop in the Scottish capital since it first opened its doors in 1916.
Described as “Scotland’s oldest kilt hire specialists,” the firm specialised in highland, formal and evening wear, ranging from kilts to tuxedos, for ceilidhs, weddings, and other special occasions.
However, liquidators have been appointed to the business after it announced it would be closing its doors for good in December last year.
