A long‑standing fresh produce wholesaler has gone into liquidation.
C.A. Belcher & Son Limited, a family‑run fruit and vegetable wholesaler trading as C A Belcher & Son in Lower Earley, entered creditors’ voluntary liquidation on February 2.
Two insolvency practitioners from Reading‑based KRE Corporate Recovery have been appointed to wind up the business.
According to official notices, members and creditors of the company passed resolutions in late January to place the firm into voluntary liquidation.
The move means control of the business and its assets has now passed to the liquidators, who will assess what can be realised for creditors and how outstanding debts will be handled.
