A UK courier company has gone into liquidation after of 14 years. Oxford-based Pedal and Post, known for its environmentally friendly cargo bike courier service, formally appointed liquidators weeks after ceasing operations in January. Brett Lee Barton and Margaret Carter of Walsall firm BK Plus have been named as joint liquidators.
The company, which had expanded its bike delivery network to London, gained a reputation for delivering parcels while reducing urban congestion and emissions. A total of 60 staff members including full-time and self-employed couriers have lost their jobs due to the closure.
