A Norfolk construction firm has entered liquidation owing creditors more than £1 million after Norwich City took legal action to wind it up.
Coastal Construction, based in Heacham, was a long-standing partner of the club and its ‘official building contractor’, carrying out projects at Carrow Road and its training ground.
But the company has now ceased trading after being put into liquidation by its directors, brothers Kevin and Gary Waddison, owing creditors £1.06m.
This figure included more than £282,000 of the brothers’ own money, according to its statement of affairs on Companies House.
Norwich City was one of the company’s 26 creditors, claiming to be owed money for its sponsorship deal with the firm.
