Administrators for collapsed contractor Surgo Construction are scrutinising a decision to transfer properties out of the company before it went under.
Steven Ross from FRP Advisory and and Stephen Lancaster from Lucas Ross said the timing and price of the transfers remain under the microscope.
They are also investigating “in greater detail” the former directors’ conduct prior to the administration, the true ownership of the property now, and the veracity or accuracy of Surgo’s annual accounts.
Nearly two years into Surgo’s administration, the administrators said on Monday (9 March) that Surgo did have enough reserves when it transferred its property.
