An Essex curtain manufacturer that served homes and businesses across the county for more than two decades has gone into liquidation after 25 years of trading. Sudbury Curtain Contracts Limited, which operated as Sudbury Curtain Workroom, has been placed into creditors’ voluntary liquidation.
The company was based at Severalls Business Park in Colchester, a city often described as Britain’s oldest town thanks to its Roman roots stretching back nearly 2,000 years. Records published in The London Gazette show that joint liquidators were appointed on February 25, 2026, with the notice formally announced on March 2.
