Guyana Publications Inc, the publishers of Stabroek News and the Sunday Stabroek has formally entered the liquidation stage, with liquidator Chris Ram outlining the steps that will be taken to wind up the company’s affairs and settle its financial obligations.
According to Ram, both Stabroek TV and Guyana Publications Inc. passed resolutions to wind up their operations during a meeting of shareholders on Friday. The resolutions required the support of two-thirds of the votes cast, and Ram noted that the decision was unanimous. “There was no dissension,” he said. “Nobody disagreed.”
