A Jersey doctor declared bankrupt nearly a decade ago has lost a court challenge to force the island’s chief enforcement officer to fund her legal fight in England.
In a judgment delivered by the Royal Court, Dr Gail Cochrane failed to overturn a decision by the Viscount – the official responsible for administering bankrupt estates in Jersey – who refused to release £19,500 from her assets to pay for legal advice.
