Staff at a Nottingham bar have been made redundant after it entered liquidation following a downturn in trade that coincided with ballooning costs.
Tier, which had been part of the city’s food and drink scene for nearly 10 years, was seized by its landlord in February and the company that had operated the Hockley cocktail bar has now entered liquidation.
Tier Lounge Ltd appointed joint liquidators from Opus Restructuring & Insolvency on March 9, meaning the firm’s assets will now be sold off in an attempt to pay off its debts before it is permanently shut down.
