A UK travel company that sold package getaways to Europe and Southeast Asia has gone into liquidation and will not be giving refunds for cancelled trips. Regen Central LTD lost its Air Travel Organisers’ Licensing (ATOL) on January 13 and subsequently went into liquidation, per the Companies House website.
ATOL, a scheme operated by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), provides financial protection for package holidays, ensuring refunds or repatriation if the travel company goes bust. However, accommodation-only and non-flight packages are not covered by ATOL and do not get the same refund protection.
