The Essex Car Group Limited, based on Dunmow Road in Leaden Roding, shuttered its business after around nine years of operation, entering into a creditors’ voluntary liquidation.
Documents lodged at Companies House and published in The London Gazette reveal the official winding up of the company began on 24 February 2026.
Gary Thompson, an insolvency practitioner at Quantuma Advisory Limited in Basildon, has been appointed as liquidator to manage the business’ closure.
He will also be tasked with dealing with creditors.
Recent accounts for the year ending June 30, 2024, indicate the dealership maintained a stock exceeding £1.5 million.
