A Scottish kitchen company has collapsed into administration with all jobs lost.
The East Kilbride firm ceased trading after 25 years following “detrimental supply chain issues” with 18 staff made redundant.
Appliance supplier and installer Merchant City Distributors Limited directors appointed administrators as “the only option”.
The company was based in the Kelvin Industrial Estate in the South Lanarkshire town.
James Stephen and Ben Peterson of BDO were appointed as joint administrators of Merchant City Distributors Limited.
The firm was a supplier, distributor and installer of gas and electrical products for a quarter of a century.
