A popular UK bakery brand known for its indulgent brownies has collapsed into liquidation, bringing to an end a family-run venture launched in 2018. The popular “best ever” brownie closed its doors in January after seven years in business. The Best Ever Brownie Company, run by husband and wife Solance and Craig Poole and located near Calne in Wiltshire, closed its doors in January.
The owners said the closure was driven by rising costs and the wider economic climate, which they stated made it impossible to continue trading sustainably, alongside the worsening health of one of the founders over the past year.
