A long-standing steel tube manufacturer serving the furniture sector in Denmark, has entered bankruptcy proceedings despite previously reporting profitable results.

Based in Otterup, the company, JM Rør, has supplied steel pipes to furniture manufacturers since 1978 and has been active as a subcontractor to the industry for nearly five decades.
According to co-owner Thomas Andersen, the collapse was not caused by the Danish core operation itself, but by issues linked to a Polish subsidiary in which JM Rør held a majority stake.
