Edinburgh-based EcoJet, which planned to operate domestic and European routes from Edinburgh, entered voluntary liquidation, with Paul Dounis and Mark Harper of Opus Restructuring appointed as joint liquidators on May 1, reports our sister title The Herald.
The airline, founded by green energy entrepreneur Dale Vince of Ecotricity, had not yet begun commercial operations.

A statement from Opus Restructuring said: “EcoJet was a start-up business and has no material assets.
“The members have elected to fund the liquidation process to ensure that the company’s employees receive their full statutory entitlements.”
