Yesterday, Sunday, Gym Near Me in Stockton Heath told members it had permanently closed.
It comes after the gym had been temporarily closed since Thursday due to ‘power issues’.
In an email to members, it was revealed that the operating company of the Grappenhall Road site had ceased trading with immediate effect.
This is due to the business being ‘under financial pressure for some time’.
The email reads: “The cost of living crisis and its effects on membership, rising commercial utility costs, landlord costs, business rates and increasing overheads have all taken their toll, and the gym is simply no longer viable as a going concern.
