The founders of Catch and Scoopon have acquired Click Frenzy and plan to relaunch the website, weeks after the online sales platform collapsed into liquidation.
Gabby and Hezi Leibovich, who founded local e-commerce pioneer Catch in 2006, revealed the acquisition of Click Frenzy and its digital assets on Monday.
Founded in 2012 by Grant Arnott, Click Frenzy offered limited-edition sales inspired by Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
It became a smash hit through the 2010s, with its sales events offering homewares, technology, apparel, and travel deals.
But its sales event model resulted in lumpy cash flow. Mounting financial challenges saw the site and its sibling business Power Retail fall into liquidation last month.
