Stephen Keen and John Fisk of Teneo New Zealand were appointed liquidators of Unique Fabrics, while Melissa Humann, Rebecca Gill and Craig Crosbie of Teneo Australia were appointed liquidators of Unique Fabrics New Zealand Pty Ltd.
BWA Insolvency’s latest quarterly market report showed insolvencies may have peaked, even if risks still remain for businesses.
The report revealed 772 insolvencies were recorded in the first quarter of 2026, down 17% from 936 cases in the final quarter of last year.
However, insolvencies remain 13.9% higher than the same quarter in 2025, highlighting that many businesses are operating under sustained pressure.
