Workers at Mexican airline Magnicharters are preparing to launch a strike on June 30 as labor negotiations remain stalled, adding another layer of uncertainty to the carrier’s ongoing insolvency proceedings and prolonged suspension of operations.
The Sindicato Asociación Mexicana de Trabajadores de Autotransportes, Aero-Transportes, Similares y Conexos de la República Mexicana, which represents Magnicharters employees, said it will proceed with the strike after unsuccessful attempts to establish direct dialogue with the company and labor authorities. The work stoppage is scheduled to begin at 11:48 a.m. on June 30.
