A Co Galway plant sales company was found to owe Revenue more than €106.6m following an investigation by the tax authority.
In its latest Tax Defaulters List, Revenue said LPS International Plant Ltd, which was based in Knockdoe in Claregalway, under-declared VAT to the tune of more than €46.2m.
It added almost €14.17m in interest and more than €46.2m in penalties, bringing the total owed to exactly €106,609,749.
The vast majority of that – €106,240,267 – remains outstanding, according to Revenue.
Company records show that LPS International was incorporated in November 2016, specialising in the import and export of plant machinery.
