Insolvency Numbers and Rates in 2025
In England and Wales during 2025, a total of 22,455 business insolvencies were recorded. The insolvency rate stood at 116 per 10,000 businesses, a figure similar to the 117 per 10,000 rate observed in 2024. However, this rate was higher than the 88 per 10,000 recorded in 2019.
