GERMANY – Refresco has agreed to acquire the business operations of insolvent German mineral water and soft drinks producer Rhenser Mineralbrunnen, strengthening its production capacity and brand portfolio in Germany.
The agreement was reached with the company’s provisional insolvency administrator and Managing Director Holger Sieck and has received approval from the creditors’ committee.
In a statement, Refresco said the transaction would ensure the “preservation and continuation” of the Rhens-based beverage producer, which entered preliminary insolvency proceedings in March.
