Troubles continue in the French studios. This time, Supamonks — one of the teams involved in the beat ’em up roguelike Absolum — has come under fire.

As noted by Origami journalist Gauthier Andres, at the end of June, a French court declared Supamonks bankrupt and appointed a liquidator for the studio. It is expected that the studio will completely cease to exist in the near future.
The exact cause of Supamonks’ bankruptcy is unknown.
Supamonks is primarily an animation studio specializing in creating trailers, commercials, and other visual materials. For example, it once produced trailers for several Supercell games as well as for Mario + Rabbids, Hyper Scape, Endless Dungeon, and Big Helmet Heroe.
