Six Chance Voight companies have been placed into liquidation by the High Court after it found the Rangiora-based group was insolvent and operating an unsustainable business model.
The Financial Markets Authority (FMA), after an investigation, asked the High Court to appoint liquidators to Chance Voight’s parent company and five core subsidiaries.
The companies are Chance Voight Investment Corporation, Chance Voight Investment Partners, CVI Securities, CVI Partners Mortgage Income Fund, CVI Financial and CVI Partners Mortgage Fund.
The High Court heard the FMA’s application on June 29.
Chance Voight Group is a corporate group comprising 27 entities, whose founder, chief executive and current sole director is Bernard Whimp.
