Another UK haulage business has fallen into difficulty and plunged into liquidation. POD Haulage Limited, a London-based freight company which opened 14 years ago, appointed liquidators on July 9, with the news hitting the London Gazette in the early hours of July 27.
A previous winding-up order published on July 6 explained that the firm was seeking creditors’ voluntary liquidation. This is a process usually initiated by the company director and is voluntary, enabling the formal end of an insolvent company. At this early stage, it is unknown what the decision will mean for staff at the company or any job cuts.
