The number of corporate bankruptcies in the Netherlands declined in July, with 266 companies going under. That was 33 fewer than a year earlier, representing an 11 percent decrease, according to Statistics Netherlands. The bankruptcy rate also fell in July, dropping to 7.1 bankruptcies per 100,000 companies, compared with 8.1 a year earlier.
The bankruptcy rate peaked at 24.8 in March 2015, when the current calculation method was introduced. It fell to a record low of 3.4 in August 2021 before rising again through 2024.
