The Gretna Inn Limited had total creditor claims of £580,824.71, according to a statement of affairs signed by director Iain William Broughton on July 8.
The company is described in the insolvency documents as trading as Crossways Inn Hotel, the former name of The Gretna Inn on Annan Road in Gretna.
Natalie Hughes, of Simply Corporate Limited, was appointed liquidator on July 20 following a creditors’ voluntary liquidation.
The statement of affairs shows HM Revenue and Customs as the largest creditor, with three claims totalling £271,859.
These comprise £134,251.05 relating to VAT, £109,601.61 for PAYE and National Insurance and a further HMRC claim of £28,006.34.
