The company behind immersive productions including Elvis Evolution and Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds: The Experience went into liquidation with debts totalling over £20 million, recent accounts show.
A statement of affairs for Ellipsis Entertainment filed last week (20 August) also lists over 170 shareholders with holdings totalling over £20m, meaning the company collapsed owing £43.8m overall once share capital is written off.
Ellipsis, which traded under subsidiary company Layered Reality, has reportedly left scores of former workers unpaid following its collapse.
