The liquidation of Fish and Forest Ltd in Grape Lane follows that of top York restaurant chain Frango Eduardo Ltd, owned by Ted Hustler, which has also entered liquidation and restructured to save its constituent businesses and staff jobs in recent weeks.
Stephen Andrews stresses the Michelin-listed Fish and Forest is also trading under new owners now and he urges the government to give ‘meaningful’ support to hospitality for independent restaurants to survive.
The chef, who has appeared on TV’s Masterchef in 2024 and is ranked as one of the top 40 UK chefs, says the former company behind the restaurant has now entered liquidation, but it still trades and existing bookings are unaffected.
