SUMMARY
HNGIL has served Bira 91 parent B9 Beverages a default notice over alleged dues of ₹11.77 Cr and warned that it could initiate insolvency proceedings against the brewer.
The notice adds to Bira 91’s mounting creditor pressure as the debt-laden brewer seeks fresh capital to clear employee and vendor dues and restart production.
HNGIL claims more than 51 Lakh customised bottles remain unlifted, despite the glassmaker encashing bank guarantees worth ₹3.91 Cr. B9 Beverages has 10 days to pay the dues or show that a dispute existed before the notice.
