North Bay council is being asked to approve nearly $250,000 for Critchley Hill Architecture to take over the project’s design and consulting work
The company hired to design the next phase of North Bay’s downtown waterfront park has gone bankrupt, as the city eyes a different firm to take over the work.
Council is being asked to approve a $249,999 contract with Critchley Hill Architecture Inc. to continue the park’s design and consulting work.
The change comes after Brook McIlroy Inc., which the city hired in June 2025, entered bankruptcy proceedings.
The city was notified of the bankruptcy in April, according to a report going before council Tuesday.
