Aman Mahroof and Jalil Akbar, directors of Jelly Days Ltd, which was based in Bolton, Chorley, and Rochdale, have been banned from acting as company directors for 11 and six years, respectively.
This is due to the business’s involvement in “false applications” for Covid-19 bounce back loans, wherein the pair “failed to ensure the funds were used for the benefit of the business”.
The Insolvency Report statement said: “On May 14, 2020, Aman Mahroof (‘Mr Mahroof’) caused Jelly Days to make a false application for a bounce back loan (‘BBL’) and, contrary to the scheme’s published guidance, failed to ensure that the funds were used for the economic benefit of the business.
