Carbon Revolution collapse comes as administrators say wheel maker was likely insolvent months before going bust

Carbon Revolution was probably trading insolvent for more than three months before it went bust, say the administrators of the collapsed lightweight-wheel maker, after it had accumulated losses of $347 million since mid-2022.

A report by McGrathNicol into the financial woes of Carbon Revolution found that having high-cost manufacturing operations in Geelong, thousands of kilometres from the car companies it supplied, was a major factor in its collapse.
