The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in New Delhi has ordered B9 Beverages Limited, the parent company of craft beer brand Bira 91, and its creditors to attempt mediation to settle ongoing insolvency proceedings. The September 15 order was issued by a special bench comprising Judicial Member Ashok Kumar Bhardwaj and Technical Member Ravindra Chaturvedi while hearing multiple petitions, including a Section 7 corporate insolvency petition filed by Unity Small Finance Bank. Advocate Eshna Kumar was appointed to mediate a settlement meeting scheduled for September 17 between company counsel, promoters, financiers, and creditor representatives.
